What is a D-Day calculator?

D-Day is the target date. Days before it are written as D-30 and days after it as D+100. Use it to count down to an exam or event, or to see how many days it has been since a first date, a wedding or a birth. The milestone table lists the 100th to 1000th day and the 1st to 10th anniversaries with how far away each one is.

How to use

  1. Pick a date. It can be in the future, like an exam, or in the past, like the day you met.
  2. The D-value and the number of days left or passed appear right away.
  3. Check the milestone table for dates like 100 days or your first anniversary. Past milestones are dimmed and the next one is highlighted.

Frequently asked questions

What does "count the date itself as day 1" do?

Some people count the start date as day 1, which is common in Korea for relationships and birthdays. With it on, the 100-day milestone falls one day earlier. With it off, day 100 is exactly 100 days after the date.

When is D-Day and when is D+1?

D-Day is the date itself. The day before is D-1 and the day after is D+1.

How are anniversaries calculated?

Anniversaries fall on the same month and day each year. For February 29, years without that date use the last day of February.

Can I use lunar calendar dates?

Only Gregorian (solar) dates are supported for now. Convert lunar dates to the Gregorian calendar first.
