What is a countdown timer?
A countdown shows how much time is left until a moment you are waiting for, such as an exam, a trip, a launch, a birthday or New Year. Your settings are stored in the page address, so you can bookmark it or send the link to someone and they will see the same countdown.

Frequently asked questions
Which time zone does it use?
It uses your device's time zone. If you share the link with someone elsewhere, they will see the time left until that same date and time in their own time zone.
How is this different from the D-Day calculator?
The countdown shows the time left to a specific moment, down to the second. The D-Day calculator works in whole days, like D-30 or D+100, and lists milestones such as 100 days and anniversaries.
Is the name I enter saved?
Nothing is saved on a server. The name and date are kept only in this page's address, so anyone you share the link with can see them.
